Natalya Shinn a Sydney-based painter was born in Brisbane and has lived in rural and coastal
Queensland including Beaudesert and Currumbin, Wollongong and the Sutherland Shire. She
studied painting at West Wollongong TAFE and the National Art School, Darlinghurst and upon
graduation was the recipient of the Ron Lambert Graduate Award and TAFE NSW Faculty
Award, Arts and Media. Natalya has been a selected finalist in numerous leading Australian art
prizes including, the John Olsen Drawing Prize, the Fisher Ghost Art Prize, the Broken Hill
Regional Gallery Outback Art Prize and the Pirtek Still Life Prize. Primarily a landscape painter,
Natalya approaches the landscape from multiple perspectives. Her re-imagining of these vistas
